What is endodontics?
Endodontics is the specialty that treats the nerve of the tooth, normally in cases of infection, and allows healing by keeping the tooth in the mouth without the need to extract it.

When is endodontics necessary?
When the nerve is affected by deep cavities, giving sensitivity to cold, heat or chewing. It is also necessary in cases of fracture due to trauma and in situations of infection (phlegmon, fistula...)
